Our First Lady

Sister Blake is a retired elementary principal of the Lewisville Independent School District. She currently serves as minister of music and her desire is to glorify God and His name in all that she does. She is a born-again Christian who is committed to sharing Jesus with the unsaved. She began singing around age 6 and playing the piano around age 9. Music is her ministry and passion! God has blessed her with opportunities to direct choirs and to teach vocally for the Kingdom of God for over forty years. “Such as she has, she gives unto God.”

Sister Blake has successfully completed several musical college-level courses, been mentored by some of the best, and is a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Dallas Chapter. She has directed summer youth music camps and recorded a children’s CD in June of 2014. She is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University where she earned her bachelor of science degree in physical education with a minor in biology. She also earned her master’s degree in elementary education at Texas Southern University in 1987 and her mid-management certification from North Texas University in 2003. First Lady Blake’s hobbies include interior decorating, walking, and traveling.
